As part of the Museum’s commitment to ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality children’s Museum experience, Kohl Children’s Pop-Up Museum brings exhibits and the education team directly to communities in Northern Lake County. The Pop-Up Museum returns to Waukegan for April, May and June! The pop-up includes Imagination Playground: exploring construction using oversize building blocks; Airmazing: experimenting with air flow, wind tubes, and Bernoulli blowers; Science & You: explore science instruments and health science; Art Studio and Reading Nook; Learn at Home: fun activities to take home, to continue hands-on learning beyond the Pop-Up. Join the Downtown Wauking Club for a walk, stroll, run, skip through downtown and the surrounding area. Starting points will vary, but the first one will at Jack Benny Plaza, 140 N. Genesee St. Different routes will be mapped out to equal at least one mile, but you can go farther.
Dandelion Gallery & Studio
Bring your own supplies and easel, or rent some from the studio for $5. Live model will take you through gestures and a variety of poses from a raised platform. Beginners bring your sketchbooks and your choice of dry media i.e. charcoal, graphite, chalk pastels etc. Portable standing easels recommended. Ages 18+.
ZümBier
Fun is in the forecast every Thursday night with Live Trivia! Prizes each round. Bring your friends and your own food or order delivery. The most common excuse for not playing is: 'We're terrible at trivia (paraphrased)' and ZümBier wants you to know they're right there with you! But it's free and there are prizes and it's a fun night.
