Club-Apaseo El-Alto hosts a drive-thru food distribution event Sundays from 10 - 11am, with sponsors Northern Illinois Food Bank and State Rep. Rita Mayfield. All in need are welcome.

Do more good with your garden. The Lake County Forest Preserve Native Plant Sale will take place in person and online this year! Purchase native flowers, ferns, forbs, grasses, shrubs and trees. As you shop, learn about eco-friendly practices to benefit your home, wallet and community. Experts will be available at the sale to answer questions. Choose from 100-plus species. Inventory is limited. Plants are not restocked overnight—the best plant selection will be on Saturday. We encourage shoppers to bring their own boxes to transport plants home.

Join the Downtown Wauking Club for a walk, stroll, run, skip through downtown and the surrounding area. Starting points will vary, but the first one will at Jack Benny Plaza, 140 N. Genesee St. Different routes will be mapped out to equal at least one mile, but you can go farther.

Join Manda Does Pot at Buena Vibra Plant Shop for a creative, hands on evening of terra cotta pot painting and plant shopping! During this event, you will be painting your own personalized Manda Does Pot! Manda has already taped the pots using her signature triangle design, all you have to do is choose your own colors! While you create, she will share some tips on how she paints her pots. Buena Vibra Plant Shop will be providing $5 coupons to each guest plus some after hour plant specials!
