Join 1st Ward Ald. Sylvia Bolton in a Clean Sweep Disposal & Dumpster Drop on Saturday, October 28th! A dumpster will be dropped at the corner of 8th and Adams Streets. Tires off their rims and electronics will be accepted, in addition to many other items! Residents are responsible for putting items into the dumpsters themselves. Items NOT accepted include appliances, yard waste/tree trunks, liquids, concrete/brick/stone/rocks, hazardous waste, flammable materials, batteries, car parts, paint/stain/lacquer, or railroad ties

Lace up your running shoes in solidarity with women and families who have been affected by breast cancer. Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to walk, stretch, and meditate with inspiring women. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams for the top fundraisers, best race times, and best costumes! Every dollar raised will help YWCA Metropolitan Chicago's Health Promotion and Navigation to support women and families.

It's the last cleanup on our Amstutz for 2023! Join MH Wozniak CPA, North Shore Printers and Waukegan Main Street to help beautify our town. Pick up vests, gloves, bags and water then head out to your favorite section of highway. Adults and older teens only as you'll be working along speeding traffic.

Come through October 28th for the 1st Mural Festival here at Supermercado Gonzalez, Drip, and GATHR Creative Studio where we will be turning our parking lot into a celebration of art, music, food, and culture.
