McAninch Arts Center, College of DuPage
Arts Alliance Illinois is hosting 12 listening sessions this Fall to gather community perspectives that will inform the Alliance’s future advocacy efforts. These sessions, offered in partnership with organizations across the state including Waukegan Arts Council (WAC), will include opportunities for conversations about ways to work together to strengthen Illinois’ arts and culture sector. All listening sessions will take place virtually except for the Chicagoland Region session on Saturday, November 12th at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage which WAC is co-hosting. Space will be limited to ensure conversations remain intimate and accessible.

Runners! Walkers! Crawler! Everyone three months and older is welcome to participate in the Waukegan Park District's annual Turkey Trot. Entry fee is two cans of non-perishable food. Winners in each category receive a turkey!

Lynn Schornick Theatre
The Waukegan Concert Chorus (WCC) was established as a community chorus in 1976 to sing with the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra (WSO) in a performance of Verdi’s Requiem. The members of the community recognized the great benefit of retaining such a cultural asset in the community and the WCC continued as an independent sister organization to the WSO. Today, Music Director Randy Casey’s baton leads this community chorus. Waukegan Concert Chorus season tickets are available online, at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts, or via telephone at (847) 360-4740. All tickets bought online will be held at the box office.
Chicago History Museum
Join UMMA for their 17th annual Gala, this time at the Chicago History Museum with a social hour and exhibit tour before the program! Keynote speaker will be Hamza Abdullah. Hamza enjoyed a 7-year NFL career while playing for the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals and has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post and ESPN for observing Ramadan while playing in the NFL. Since transitioning out of the league, Hamza embarked on a Public Speaking career, sharing his story at various events. Master of Ceremony is Ubaydullah Evans. The silent auction will be online starting November 7th.

Enjoy a fun evening painting your own individual piece together with Artist Instructor Cody Madura painting a beautiful landscape "Bob Ross Style". Guests will learn about the different, techniques for texture, blending and more. All materials are included. Paint social is meant for creative fun. During the visit guests will enjoy snacks, drinks and music. Registration required by Nov 11th.
