FOR

RESIDENTIAL WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Waukegan will accept sealed proposals for providing all labor, equipment, vehicles, materials and related services necessary for the collection of residential waste, recyclable materials and landscape waste at all residential dwellings as well as the collection of refuse and recyclable materials from designated City collection sites. The proposed initial term of the Franchise Agreement will begin on December 1, 2023 and end on November 30, 2028.

Copies of the RFP will be available electronically on the City’s website no later than 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2023. Information regarding proposals is posted on the homepage of the website.

An optional Pre-Proposal meeting will be held at 10 a.m., March 27, 2023. The meeting will be in a person at Waukegan Public Works Department at 1700 N. McAree Road in Waukegan.

The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals or any part thereof; waive any minor defects, irregularities or informalities; and to decide not to award any contract; or award a contract deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Waukegan.
