Due to an increase of West Nile Virus positive mosquito collections, Clarke will perform a second City-wide adult mosquito control application this evening, August 29th,, into Wednesday morning, weather permitting. The application will occur dusk until dawn.
Residents wishing to be notified of future adult mosquito control applications can register for notifications at the
Clarke Residential Portal.

While the risk of West Nile virus is increasing. the
City of Waukegan and
Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center recommend residents take personal protection measures to minimize mosquito bites including: using EPA-registered mosquito repellents, wear loose clothing, avoid peak mosquito feeding times (dawn and dusk), eliminate standing water standing.
