The City of Waukegan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Department invites you to celebrate National Community Development Week from Monday, April 10th through Friday, April 14th, with a variety of activities.
Our CDBG Department administers two grants from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), HUD provides the City an annual grant called the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. HUD also provides the City, through the Lake County Consortium, an annual grant called the HOME Investment Partnerships Program to fund a wide range of activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or homeownership or providing direct rental assistance to low-income people.
CDBG has programs available for eligible homeowners, small businesses, and public entities.
Find out more about CDBG - and meet the staff - at the Resource Fairs, Meet & Greet, and Q&A session during the week starting April 10th. Remember to ask about the Golden Ticket Prize Giveaway!

If you have any questions, contact CDBG directly at (847) 599-2530 or cdbg@waukeganil.gov.
