[ARCHIVED] Free COVID-19 Tests Available

project act map of the united states

Cases of COVID-19 are going down in Lake County, but our positivity rate remains above 9%, per the Lake County Health Department. Getting vaccinated and a booster, along with masking up and washing your hands regularly continue to be the best ways to lessen your chances of getting the virus, or seriously suffering if you do get it.

Every home is eligible to order four free at-home COVID-19 tests from the federal government by filling out an online form; delivery is currently taking 7 - 14 days.

Waukegan residents in the 60085 ZIP Code may receive five additional free at-home tests while supplies last through Project ACT by completing this form online. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Social Vulnerability Index combined with data on the COVID-19 burden identified that ZIP Code as at high-risk for COVID-19.

These at-home tests are another tool to protect yourself, your family, and our community.
