NOTICE: DISPLAY OF THE PY 2021 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
CITY OF WAUKEGAN, ILLINOIS
The City of Waukegan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) PY 2021 Annual Action Plan was presented at a virtual meeting on March 31st and is now available for download.
The City intends to submit its PY 2021 Annual Action Plan, in the amount of $785,669 in Community Development Block Grant funds and $6,000 in reprogrammed funds from the 2019 Program Year for a total of $791,669, to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or before May 11, 2021.
In order to obtain the view of residents, public agencies and other interested parties, the City of Waukegan will place its PY 2021 Annual Action Plan on public display beginning on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 through April 30, 2021 at the following locations: Waukegan City Hall, CDBG Office, 3rd Floor, 100 North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085, Waukegan Public Library, 128 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL 60085 and on the City's website here.
This document will be available for public display during normal business hours of operation for a period of thirty (30) days until 4:00 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021. The PY 2021 Annual Action Plan will be submitted to the Waukegan City Council for approval at its regularly scheduled City Council Meeting on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 5:00 PM.
The following CDBG activities are proposed for funding under the PY 2021 Annual Action Plan:
- PUBLIC SERVICES $117,000
- CODE ENFORCEMENT $30,000
- PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITIES $156,625
- HOUSING REHAB $174,911
- REHAB ADMINISTRATION $150,000
- PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION $157,133
- REPROGRAMMED FUNDS FROM 2019 $6,000
TOTAL PY 2021 CDBG FUNDS FOR PROJECT ACTIVITIES = $791,669
