Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)

The Waukegan Community Development Block Grant Department will host a 15-day comment period in which the CAPER document will be available to the public for review and examination. The purpose of the comment period is to present Waukegan’s Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2020. The CAPER lays out the activities that were undertaken with Federal dollars (CDBG) over the past program year. The activities include housing, economic development, public services, public facilities, infrastructure improvements, rehab administration and general administration.
Copies of the proposed 2020 CAPER are available below and by contacting CDBG staff at CDBG@waukeganil.gov or (847) 599-2530 beginning August 23, 2021. The City encourages review and comments on the proposed document. The 15-day comment period will begin on August 23, 2021 and will end September 7, 2021 at 5:00pm. All comments can be submitted in writing, by email, or during the Community Development Committee public comment section of the meeting. Written comments can be mail to CDBG Department - 100 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, 3rd Floor, Waukegan, IL 60085. Emailed comments can be sent to CDBG@waukeganil.gov. The Community Development Committee meeting will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 approximately 5:00pm in Waukegan City Hall Council Chambers.
