The Building Department is responsible for the issuance of building permits, sign permits, plan review and construction inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial properties within the City of Waukegan. We are located on the 3rd Floor of the City Hall building in Downtown Waukegan.
Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) operational changes, City Hall is closed and operating with a reduced employee team. This may result in a delayed response to your inquiry.
