    The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of the US Coast Guard. Their mission is to promote and improve Recreational Boating Safety, to provide trained crews and facilities to augment the Coast Guard and to enhance safety and security of our ports, waterways, and coastal regions, To support Coast Guard operational, administrative, and logistical requirements. The Waukegan Coast Guard Auxiliary was started fifty years ago and are always looking for new volunteers.

  2. Kohl Children's Museum Pop-Up Family Hours

    Bring the family to Urban Edge in downtown Waukegan for the Kohl Children's Museum Pop-Up FREE, Family fun on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of February.  The Pop-up allows children to experience the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) stations and Chagall for Children art projects.

    If you are a teacher, or a committed piano player, this is a great opportunity to meet an experienced professional! Come to Family Piano's Riverside Room for a master class led by Dr. Ilia Radoslavov, a world-renowned and celebrated pianist! He will be giving inside tips and techniques that he as a long-time professional has developed, and talking about his experiences along the way. Moreover, he will be performing his rendition of pieces by composers such as Bach, Schumann, Debussy, and many others. Students of Studio Crawl will perform as well, and refreshments will be served afterwards. Best of all, this event is FREE, and open to the public!
