    During ACADEMIA CULTURAL XILOTL's annual "Dia de Muertos & Altar Art Exhibit Festival" they will have a table with sugar skulls for guests to decorate. Bring non-perishable food to donate for their annual food drive as well. There will be a box at the entrance of the theatre for donations. Se habla espanol.

    It's that time of year, when the cool October wind blows and all sorts of shadowy adventures take place. Zombies, survivalists, and ghouls of all ages are welcome to wander to Downtown Waukegan and enjoy. Metal on the Rocks VII will rock CLC Courtyard. Zombie Infestation will be in the South Genesee Merchant Block, including a Kids' Zone and Costume Contests for kiddies and adults. And that's just a taste of the delights! Costumes suggested, but optional. Free admission and parking.

    Learn the haunted and strange stories of Waukegan's past on this guided tour. The tour starts outside of the Douglas House in Upton Park. The tour will cover three miles and will last two hours. Dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes and bring something to drink. Tours may be cancelled in rain or inclement weather.
